The Plaza Theater, also known as the Flint Hills Opry. This Moderne style theater was added to the National Register of Historical Places in 2005.

  • Sunrise behind the Oak Tree Inn motel - Marysville, Kansas

  • Miami, Oklahoma

Waylan's Hamburgers, the Ku-Ku. This route 66 icon is the last of a chain that once numbered around 200.

  • Along Highway 395, Northern California

  • Lake Park Drive-In Theater

This was located in the Turner area of Kansas City, Kansas - now a big lot full of trucks.

  • The Former Airway Drive-In

Saint Ann, Missouri's Airway Drive-In Theater was built around 1949, and could accommodate 1000 cars in its heyday. The screens and concession stand were torn down in 1986, but at least the thoughtful developers restored the sign at the entrance to the new shopping center.

  • The Stones Restaurant

Unfortunately now closed, on the Lincoln Highway - Marshalltown, Iowa

  • Tee Pee Gas - Lawrence, Kansas

  • Park Rocket - Lawrence, Kansas

  • Topeka, Kansas

  • The Lazy K

Along the Lincoln Highway - Ogallala, Nebraska
